Rondo: Corner Support
Set up
- Field
- Create a 15x15 yard area with a small triangular support zone in each corner.
- Players
- 9 or more players. Use 9 players: two teams of 4 plus 1 neutral. Set the roles so each four-player team has two players in diagonal corners and two inside the grid, while the neutral moves freely inside and always supports the team in possession.
How it runs
- 1.The coach starts the game by passing to one of the teams inside the grid.
- 2.The possession team keeps the ball by combining with its two corner teammates and the neutral player.
- 3.Corner players stay in their zones and return the ball quickly to teammates inside.
- 4.The defending team presses to win possession and then immediately becomes the attacking team.
- 5.When the ball changes teams, the neutral and the corner support players adjust to the new possession side.
- 6.Play 3-5 minute rounds with an emphasis on movement, passing, and quick transition.
After each rep
Rotate the corner roles after each round.
