Set up

Field

Use a full-size goal with a goalkeeper in place. Put a cone roughly 20 yards from goal in front of each line.

Players

6 or more players. Divide the remaining players into two equal teams and line each team up beside a goalpost. The first player in each line starts with one hand touching the goalpost.

Keep a supply of soccer balls with the coach.

How it runs

1. 1.On the coach's signal, the first player from each line sprints around the cone in front of their team.
2. 2.As the two players reach the cones, the coach serves a 50/50 ball into the space between them.
3. 3.Both players compete to gain possession and then attack the goal as quickly as possible.
4. 4.Once the ball is won, either player can score, and the duel continues as they battle for the ball.

How to win

A goal is worth 1 point for the team that scores it. The first team to reach 10 points wins.
