Flying Changes: 3v2
Set up
- Field
- Place two goals facing each other about 35-40 yards apart. Place one cone on each sideline to mark the center of the field.
- Players
- 12 or more players. Divide the squad into two equal teams, such as blue and red. Red lines up at one center cone and blue at the opposite center cone.
- Keeper
- Yes. Put a goalkeeper in each goal.
How it runs
- 1.Three blue players enter with a ball as the attacking group.
- 2.Two red players step in to defend.
- 3.Keep the exercise fast and continuous, with plenty of balls at both goals so there is almost no pause between changes and players must stay mentally engaged.
After each rep
If blue scores, blue receives another ball and immediately attacks the opposite goal; the two red defenders leave and rejoin their line while two new red defenders enter to protect the other end. If blue fails to score, the three blue attackers leave; the two red defenders become attackers, a third red player joins them, and two new blue defenders enter against the red 3v2.
