Gate Crash: Transition

Set up

Field

Mark a 15X15 yard grid. On each of the 4 sides, use cones to create a 5 yard window.

Players

6 or more players. Split 6 players into two teams wearing different colors. Each team's players line up in the window opposite their teammates. Start with one player from either team inside the grid as the defender.

How it runs

1. 1.One team begins with the ball and sends an attacker across the grid to take on the defender and connect with the teammate waiting in the opposite window.

After each rep

If the attacker completes that pass, the receiving teammate immediately becomes the new attacker and faces the same defender while trying to work back across the grid. If the defender wins possession, the defender plays to either teammate positioned along the side, and the attacker who lost the ball becomes the new defender. Continue without stopping, with every attacker transitioning immediately into the defending role whenever possession is lost.
