Set up

Field

Mark a grid as wide as the penalty box, starting approximately 25-30 yards from goal.

Players

5 or more players. Divide the remaining players into Red and Yellow groups. Line the two groups up on opposite sides at the cones farthest from goal.

Keeper

Yes. Put a goalkeeper in the goal.

Balls

Give every player a ball.

How it runs

1. 1.On the coach's signal, the first Red player dribbles at speed toward the edge of the penalty box and shoots quickly.
2. 2.As soon as Red shoots, the first Yellow player attacks the box with the ball while the Red player immediately becomes the defender.

After each rep

After Yellow shoots, that player turns into the defender against the next Red attacker. Continue the same alternating attack-defend rotation throughout the drill.
