Set up

Field
Mark an area 8 yards wide by 12 yards long. Split it in half to create two connected 8x6 yard grids. Use cones to define both the outside boundaries and the line dividing the grids.
Players
6 or more players. Divide 6 players into two teams of 3. In each half, place 2 attackers from one team against 1 defender from the other.
Balls
Start with one ball.

How it runs

  1. 1.Begin with the two attackers in one half in possession.
  2. 2.They combine with quick passes and constant movement to keep the ball away from the defender.
  3. 3.If the defender wins it, that player immediately finds a teammate waiting in the adjacent grid.
  4. 4.The attackers may also play into their teammate in the next grid as an outlet when pressure becomes difficult.
  5. 5.The link player in the adjacent grid has one or two touches to return the ball immediately to the original side.
  6. 6.Keep the ball moving between the two grids as the attackers try to build a longer passing sequence.

After each rep

After a point, or after a set period such as 90 seconds, restart with a new ball and rotate the defenders.

How to win

Award 1 point after a team reaches the chosen number of consecutive passes, such as 5 or 7.
