Escape Room: Corner Gates
Set up
- Field
- Use a 6x6 yard grid. Place three 1-yard gates on three sides of the corner area, with the middle gate set diagonally toward the opposite cone.
- Players
- 4 or more players. Put 4 players at each grid. Station 3 players with balls at the diagonal gate. Place 1 player without a ball at the cone opposite them.
How it runs
- 1.A player with a ball passes across to the player at the opposite cone, who receives inside the corner of the grid.
- 2.As soon as the pass is made, the passer follows it into the area as the defender.
- 3.The receiver tries to escape the corner by dribbling through one of the three gates.
- 4.The receiver reads the pressure and chooses between a smaller control touch or a larger touch that carries the ball around the defender.
After each rep
Rotate the roles so everyone gets opportunities to attack and defend.
How to win
A point counts only when the player dribbles the ball through a gate; passing through does not score.
